Synopsis: On the way to Master Nekomamushi, the Strawhats continue to fill-in Luffy's group as to what happened to Sanji. The flashback shows Pekoms and Capone Bege boarding Zou. It's revealed that Pekoms is also a mink and Zou is his homeland. Enraged on the devastation on the land, he mistakenly accused the Strawhat as the cause and wanted vengeance. On the mink village, Sanji just finished with his cooking, then enthusiastically "garchu'd" every female minks he meets on the way to Nami, who punches him away. Chopper, Caesar, and Brook are preparing medicines for the injured minks. Then raging Pekoms come and the minks explains that the Strawhats are their saviors. Sanji and Brook meet the two pirates from Big Mom in a faraway forest. Pekoms is appreciative of the Strawhats actions and promises that they will leave them alone if they just give them Caesar, as there is still "another thing" that Big Mom wanted from the Strawhat Crew that will supposedly cause its doom. Bege riddled Pekoms while kneeling with bullets in the back with something that mysteriously comes from his palm.
Reactions: The comedic "garchu" moments of Sanji is really well done. They also gives us details that are obscured in the manga but can be appreciated in the anime. For example, Pekoms raging and sudden relief from his grief, you can sincerely see how he loves his people and the minks happy that he's back. Interactions with Ceasar is really fun as well, and lastly, that scene where Bege is continuously shooting Pekoms in the back. The impact is really apparent.
The art and music are really on point. Animation is typical as there's no heavy scene yet. The pacing is a little slow some times, but that can't be helped as they are trying to work on less than a manga chapter for source material. I'm actually surprised on Capone Bege's VA. I'm pretty sure I heard that voice before but can't put my finger on it.

Top Ten Overpowered Broken Devil Fruits in One Piece
1. Hobi Hobi No Mi (English Name: Hobby-Hobby Fruit; User: Sugar; Type: Paramecia). On one touch, Sugar will turn you into a toy, enslave you, and have the world forget your existence. And it works on anything that has a mind, from insects to giants. It is an insanely stupidly powerful ability that should have no place in the series but somehow got through. Hopefully, we never see something of its likeness again.
2. Ope Ope No Mi (English Name: Op-Op Fruit; User: Trafalgar D Water Law; Type: Paramecia). The name even says it's OP. Law can do really ridiculous things inside the sphere he conjures: teleport, swap things around (even personalities!), cut people without killing them, cut anything (even seastone!). He can even bestow immortality to someone by giving his own life.
3. Horo Horo No Mi (English Name: Hollow-Hollow Fruit; User: Perona; Type: Paramecia). Perona can make all your hard training useless by making you succumb to nihilism by having you pass through by the invincible ghosts she produces. She can make countless of them and can make them explode. She also uses them for scouting. She can also do an "out of body experience" ghost, much like what Brook is doing now.
4. Mero Mero No Mi (English Name: Love-Love Fruit; User: Boa Hancock; Type: Paramecia). Allows user to turn to stone anyone captivated by her. And it turns out that literally everyone (even animals, girls, okamas, and den-den mushis) is attracted to Hancock in the One Piece universe. Well, except Monkey D. Luffy.
5. Nikyu Nikyu No Mi (English Name: Paw-Paw Fruit; User: Bartholomew Kuma; Type: Paramecia). Pretty harmless name for a devil fruit, as it turns out that it gives the user the ability to repel anything! Kuma uses it to blink across the battlefield and fire-off air pressure cannons. He even makes bomb of compressed air. It has one of the best utilities by giving anyone a free transportation to any destination. He can even repel non-physical stuff like fatigue out of the human body.
6. Kage Kage No Mi (English Name: Shadow-Shadow Fruit; User: Gecko Moriah; Type: Paramecia). Moriah can steal people's shadows, and those poor guys can never go outside on a sunny day again or they will disintegrate. He will put these shadows to dead bodies to give them life again, and he has complete control over them. He can even unleash his own shadow to fight. And this thing is indestructible, can separate to small pieces, can shape-shift to anything, and can float. He can also instantly swap places with his shadow. Finally, he can call all the shadows he stolen from their current hosts to integrate to him and boost his physical power.
7. Soru Soru No Mi (English Name: Soul-Soul Fruit; User: Charlotte "Big Mom" Linlin; Type: Paramecia). It is just introduced and we haven't seen all its capabilities yet, but it's already proving to be similar but more troublesome than the Kage Kage No Mi. As Big Mom can get the lifespan of any humanoid and put it on anything that isn't humanoid to give it life. She even weaponized a ball-of-fire and thunder cloud with this to give illusion of controlling the weather.
8. Goro Goro No Mi (English Name: Rumble-Rumble Fruit; User: Enel; Type: Logia). Enel could have been one of the most dangerous beings in the story if only he isn't introduced early and his power is completely nullified by the main character's. Besides his obvious destructive power and invincibility, he has abilities to listen to radio waves, travel long distances in a blink, restart his own heart, and reshape metals.
9. Yami Yami No Mi (English Name: Dark-Dark Fruit; User: Gecko Moriah; Type: Logia). Blackbeard can cause anything to be swallowed by his "darkness". Still a power not fully explored, but it has the ability to absorb devil fruit abilities, handicapping almost every top-tier fighters. He can swallow a whole town and regurgitate it as piles of rubbles. He can absorb anything that comes in his way, however, if he fails to defend, then he experiences more pain than normal.
10. Gasu Gasu No Mi (English Name: Gas-Gas Fruit; User: Caesar Clown; Type: Logia). Caesar can experiment with all kinds of gas and integrate it to his being, making all parts of him deadly. He's also invincible as a logia, Despite lacking instant destructive capability. He uses his gas powers creatively to do super-explosions and incinerating blasts. He can catch off-guard even the strongest of foes by suffocating them and they won't notice, as he has the ability to manipulate the air around him.
2. Ope Ope No Mi (English Name: Op-Op Fruit; User: Trafalgar D Water Law; Type: Paramecia). The name even says it's OP. One Piece Chapter 844: Luffy vs Sanji Review
Synopsis: Sanji walks towards Luffy, intent to make him leave Totland, while his family, the Germa 66, and Nami are observing on the background. He continues to say mean things, and Luffy listens carefully. He starts using Diable Jambe, flies towards Luffy, and kicks him to the face, sending him flying by a bit until Luffy breaks the momentum still standing. Luffy lose a front tooth. Sanji calls out Luffy on why he isn't fighting back, and Luffy answers because it is him he's fighting. Luffy continues to get punished by kicks from Sanji. Nami tries to protest, but Luffy stops her saying it is a duel. Sanji continues his barrage of kicks, connecting with an overhead drop-kick, causing Luffy to finally faint. Sanji walks away as Nami comes running towards him, slaps him strongly, and gives him her farewell. Coming back to the Cat-cart, Sanji receives commendation from Jajji on finally severing his pirate ties. As the Germa wagons are leaving, Luffy regains consciousness, shouts to Sanji that he's still their cook, he'll not eat until he returns, and he has to come back or he won't become the Pirate King. As he listens to that, Sanji's tears are falling.
Reactions: Dramatic moments that involves crewmates are really on a different level. Since after timeskip, we've been given sad scenes which are memorable: Otohime, Fisher Tiger, and Koala from Fishman Island, the kids of Punk Hazard, and Law, Rebecca and Kyros on Dressrosa. But none of them left that lasting impression. The type you felt when Robin returns and Going Merry finally laid to rest, for example. Those were really awful good moments. Now, it's Sanji's turn.
I kinda hate Sanji during this chapter though. All of his actions are questionable and probably pointless. His family knows that all of that is just a ruse. He has been telling them off during the breakfast on how they represent everything he hates. In their eyes, he probably looks like an idiot out there trying to prove something. And now he says hurtful things and even beat the guy that goes the length and dangers just to meet him. Talk about ungrateful. Why alienate yourself to your real friends? And nobody coerced him to that. He just did that "show" on his own volition. He deserves more than just Nami's slap just for being really stupid. On the account that he beat Luffy who didn't fight back nor protect himself (even with just armament haki), he deserves much more.
I know he's just protecting Zeff and his hands, but it is still ridiculous. Why can't he be honest? Tell his friends about Zeff and the exploding bracelet, say that he can't be with them right now but he want to, and assure them that he's fixing things. His crew might even be able to help in some ways. But his choice is to hurt and drive them away. He's totally given into despair. Words to peeps: Don't be like Sanji and keep everything to yourself. Seek friends/families when desperate.
Luffy is always awesome though. He shows that he listens and considers, even lies. But yeah, we all know he doesn't have good record with critical thinking. But even if he can't understand Sanji and why he's doing this, he still clings to faith on what he knows. That is, Sanji really wanted to be with them. He can even sense Sanji's emotions through his kicks (observation haki?). And on that epic speech in the end, can't contain my emotions as well.
Minor details put by Oda that are noticeable in this chapter are: (1) Ichiji's "not amused" look. Perhaps, he isn't so keen on sharing fire abilities with Sanji (speculated through his epithet of Sparking Red), which he acquired from birth and the later acquired through training. (2) Germa's Cat-cart is followed by a smaller wagon driven by a giant mouse. (3) Base-luffy can resist fire from Diable Jambe. (4) The frowning and smiling hills watching the fight.
Predictions: Because they didn't get the chance to share details, Sanji is on the dark about Luffy and Nami beating Cracker. His stubbornness might backfire later. Soon, Big Mom will learn about his son's defeat and Nami's possession of her Vivre Card. This will be terrible situation for Big Mom since Nami could use that to manipulate the Homies into hiding them from her indefinitely. It will be funny if Big Mom resorts to sending down Zeus and Prometheus (which are her sun and cloud Homies) before knowing that fact only to be stolen away by Nami. In the end, Sanji will become a hostage of Big Mom to root out the SH in her island... Or Sanji can totally be moved from that speech of Luffy and immediately comes back to them begging forgiveness next chapter.
Rating: 9/10. A short chapter but features great dramatic moments that we old One Piece readers really love. It can be said that many elements have been a repeat of Water 7 or Ennies Lobby, even Arlong Park, but I like to treat those as callbacks to the past and is an integral part of what makes the series great.
